Guillermo is a global economic development expert who specializes in helping cities and companies innovate and improve. He has had the privilege of teaching and working with over 12,700 government, corporate and university leaders like those from the European Union, the Inter-American Development Bank, US Travel Association, University of Waterloo, Tennessee Valley Authority as well as some of the most notable cities and companies in the world.
Guillermo has been involved in developing go-to-market corporate strategies, building economic development programs, creating commercialization road maps, teaching new university curriculum, and serving as CEO of a place-based advertising agency. His career has spanned the dot-com bubble to the great recession and now COVID-19 through all of which, the labor market has adapted to new industries and new ways of being in old industries.
Guillermo has built a network within the energy, commercial real estate, professional services, IOT, international development, and marketing sectors. He has also consulted with and trained various B2B companies (large and small), government agencies (investment promotion and economic development), non-profits and universities.
Guillermo travels the world speaking, training and consulting. On any given day, you can find him collaborating with community clients and business leaders, helping attract investment, sharing positive stories (online and offline) or delivering custom training workshops and speaking programs.
Guillermo is also heavily involved in the RFN Cities program helping owners and communities feel more confident about the growth, impact and future of their business or community.
